Gaya Simulations has released another airport for Flight Simulator, Berlin Tegel Airport, which is due to be replaced by the brand new Brandenburg Airport in just a few months. They had already released Vienna airport, among others.
Tegel has been a very busy airport over the years, and it’s just 10km away from Berlin’s centre. Gaya Simulations used this proximity to the city center to improve on the excellent default scenery – Berlin is represented in full photogrammetry – with all of the points of interest you’ve come to know from the German capital – including a high quality custom model of the Brandenburg Gate.
Gaya promises Berlin Tegel “is designed for best in-class immersion, detailing and performance“. They have spent months going through documents and images, in order to create a realistic recreation of the airport and the city, making any approach or departure much more interesting.
This airport is available from Orbx for $19.62 | €16,72 | £15.34, and there’s a cool 15% discount for those who purchased any previous Gaya’s airports.
