SayIntentions.AI has announced a major update to their Chatter system, aimed at providing an even deeper level of immersion and liveliness in their “Living ATC World.” This update, which is now live, introduces a groundbreaking feature: historical ATC communications from multiplayer pilots!
The development team at SayIntentions.AI has been on an absolute roll lately, with major weekly updates that, in the last month alone, have added support for X-Plane, integration with Navigraph to improve taxiing with ATC, and a helpful AI passenger that can guide users on how to deal with air traffic control.
The latest update, announced last week by CEO Brian Shellabarger, is dedicated to improving the built-in chatter system, which goes a long way toward making the overall experience more immersive and interesting.
Key new features:
- Historical ATC Comms from Multiplayer Pilots: This opt-in feature allows SayIntentions.AI to record and save pilot communications at any given airport. These conversations are then converted to a Historical Chatter database, which plays for other pilots at that same airport in the future. This feature ensures that pilots hear relevant and immersive chatter specific to their current location.
- Opt-In Feature: Pilots who wish to volunteer their communications can enable this feature in their Multiplayer Settings in the SayIntentions.AI client. However, participation is not mandatory to benefit from this feature. Even without opting in, pilots can enable the “Pre-recorded Multiplayer Proximity” feature to hear historical chatter for their area.
- Enhanced Audio Settings: To optimize the experience, SayIntentions.AI recommends enabling several settings:
- Canned: Pre-Recorded AI Generated: Hear pre-recorded AI-generated chatter.
- Live MultiPlayer Global: Hear other pilots live, anywhere in the world, who are talking to the same type of controller.
- Live MultiPlayer Proximity: Hear other live SayIntentions.AI pilots within radio range and on the same frequency.
- Pre-Recorded MultiPlayer Proximity: Hear other SayIntentions.AI pilots who were previously within radio range and on the same frequency.
- Share My Audio: Allow your audio to be heard by other SayIntentions.AI pilots, enhancing the experience for everyone.
How to enable the new features
To benefit from these updates, users should adjust their settings in the software as follows:
- Enable the desired chatter settings under Chatter and Multiplayer Audio.
- Adjust the Amount of Chatter slider to control the volume of chatter relative to default settings.
- Opt-in to share your audio for a more immersive experience.
SayIntentions.AI continues to push the boundaries and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon, with more exciting features expected to be announced over the coming weeks.
