Nashville International Airport now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator

It’s time to experience the heart of Tennessee’s air travel hub in Microsoft Flight Simulator, as DominicDesignTeam releases their detailed rendition of Nashville International Airport (KBNA). This new addition to the sim offers pilots an opportunity to explore one of the fastest-growing airports in North America.

Nashville International Airport plays an important role connecting Music City to the world. DominicDesignTeam’s digital version aims to capture the essence of KBNA, from its bustling terminals to its complex runway system, allowing simmers to navigate the same challenges and enjoy the same views as real-world pilots.

This release comes at an interesting time in BNA’s history. The real-world airport is currently undergoing a major expansion and renovation project called “BNA Vision,” aimed at accommodating the region’s booming population and increasing passenger numbers.

Established in 1937 as Berry Field, Nashville International Airport has grown from a small municipal airport to a major regional transportation hub. The airport’s IATA code (BNA) still pays homage to its original name. The current terminal, opened in 1987, marked a significant expansion of the airport’s capabilities, and the facility was renamed to Nashville International Airport in 1988 to reflect its growing importance.

Today, BNA plays a crucial role in Middle Tennessee’s economy and connectivity. Spanning 4,555 acres and featuring four runways, it handles more passenger traffic than all other Tennessee airports combined. As a focus city for Southwest Airlines and a key destination for numerous other carriers, BNA served over 18 million passengers in 2019, highlighting its significance in the national air transportation network.

Nashville International Airport from DominicDesignTeam is now available on SimMarket, priced at approximately $20.
