Roar Kristensen has released an updated version of his flight-saving tool for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Now called FlightSave24, this new iteration has been rebuilt specifically for MSFS 2024, introducing improved features and a more seamless experience for managing flight scenarios.
With FlightSave24, users can create and save flight situations directly on an interactive map, marking specific locations with flight markers. These markers can be customized with user-defined titles and saved manually or through an AutoSave function that records progress at set intervals. Returning to a saved flight is as easy as clicking on the corresponding marker, allowing users to pick up exactly where they left off—whether it’s days, months, or even years later.
For those who rely on SimBrief for flight planning, FlightSave24 now includes integration to display flight plans directly on the map. Users can teleport to selected waypoints, making it easier than ever to fine-tune their flight setups. The app also features a moveable, resizable map with a real-time moving airplane symbol, providing clear positioning during use.
FlightSave24 is compatible with all airplanes in MSFS 2024 and supports flight plan loading for aircraft equipped with the simulator’s new EFB app, provided the feature is implemented. The app can be run over the MSFS window or on a secondary monitor.
Available now on simMarket for €10 plus VAT, the tool offers a free upgrade to previous purchasers of the original FlightSave—simply re-purchase the product, and the upgrade will apply automatically without charge.
