FeelThere releases Washington Dulles International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

FeelThere has expanded its lineup of airport add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with the release of Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD). This major international airport, located in Northern Virginia, serves the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and is a critical hub for United Airlines, offering flights to destinations across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Known for its unique architecture and passenger transport system, Dulles Airport’s “mobile lounges” have been replicated as part of the simulation. These automated buses, which ferry passengers between the terminal and aircraft, are among the airport’s distinctive features that add to its character.

FeelThere’s rendition of KIAD offers a range of features that upgrade this scenery in MSFS:

  • Highly detailed buildings with PBR texturing.
  • Terminal interiors modelled.
  • Complete modelled ground polygon including realistic decals, dirt, taxi lines and surfaces.
  • Custom animated jetways.
  • Airline parking codes and modified airport services.
  • Updated AFCAD, parking spots, taxiway names and taxi signs.
  • Improved taxiway and runway lighting.
  • Custom modelled clutter and unique objects placed throughout the airport.
  • Improved night lighting and apron lamps.

FeelThere’s KIAD joins two other existing renditions of the airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator—from Flightbeam Studios and BMWorld & AmSim. Each version caters to different audiences, with Flightbeam’s offering focusing on unmatched detail and immersion, while BMWorld & AmSim provide a more budget-friendly alternative.

FeelThere’s Washington Dulles International Airport is now available for purchase on simMarket, Aerosoft, Orbx, and FeelThere’s own webstore, priced at around $12.00 USD.
