AzurPoly, the acclaimed developer behind highly detailed military aircraft add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, such as the C-160 Transall, the OV-10 Bronco, or the Fouga CM.170 Magister, has announced that its latest project, the SEPECAT Jaguar, is nearing release. The news comes alongside a stunning trailer that showcases the fighter jet’s visuals and immersive sound design.
In a social media announcement, AzurPoly revealed a collaboration with Practically Geek, a renowned creator in the flight sim community, to produce a cinematic trailer that highlights the Jaguar’s sleek design and sound set. The video, which you can watch below, features dramatic aerial maneuvers, cockpit close-ups, and—most notably—a custom audio suite engineered by Echo19, whose work captures the Jaguar’s Rolls-Royce/Turbomeca Adour turbofan engines.
AzurPoly has also confirmed that the Jaguar will launch simultaneously for MSFS 2020 and 2024. While the 2024 version will leverage the simulator’s enhanced capabilities—including improved visual fidelity, interactive exterior preflight checks, and more realistic hydraulic systems—the developer emphasized that both editions will offer a near-identical core experience.
“We realize that a big part of the community is still flying on this simulator [MSFS 2020],” AzurPoly stated, “and that MSFS 2024 will need several months at least to reach a stable state.”
The add-on will be available on PC and Xbox, ensuring that users across different platforms can experience the aircraft. While MSFS 2024 will offer some unique enhancements, AzurPoly assures that both versions of the Jaguar will be largely similar in functionality and experience.

The Jaguar promises to be one of the first native fighter aircraft built specifically for MSFS 2024, taking full advantage of the simulator’s upgraded engine.
In response to community feedback, AzurPoly has also confirmed that the Jaguar GR1 variant will be included in the initial release. The GR1 features a distinct exterior model with notable differences from the Jaguar A, including a specific nose design and a modified tail fin. Several Royal Air Force liveries will also be available. However, for now, the cockpit will remain the same as the Jaguar A due to the significant differences in avionics between the two variants. AzurPoly has stated that they may consider developing a dedicated GR1 cockpit in a future update.
The developers have dedicated months of development to ensuring the Jaguar is a faithful recreation of the real aircraft. The team has worked closely with aviation museums and specialists, including the Musée Européen de l’Aviation de Chasse in Montélimar, France, to gather detailed scans and sound recordings from real Jaguar aircraft.
The SEPECAT Jaguar, a Cold War-era tactical strike jet co-developed by Britain and France, holds a storied place in European military aviation history. AzurPoly’s rendition honors this legacy with liveries spanning its service in the RAF, French Air Force, and Indian Air Force. The team also emphasized its collaboration with real-world Jaguar pilots and maintainers to refine flight dynamics, ensuring the add-on behaves authentically during high-speed, low-altitude maneuvers.
AzurPoly has not yet provided a specific release date, but with the project now entering its final stages, availability appears imminent. The developer has assured that more details will be shared soon regarding pricing and final release logistics.
With the SEPECAT Jaguar set to arrive on both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, AzurPoly continues to expand its portfolio of high-quality aircraft add-ons for the flight simulation community. Stay tuned for further updates as the release date approaches!
