Singapore Changi Airport is now in Microsoft Flight Simulator, courtesy of TaiModels, and that’s big news for anyone flying long-haul across Asia. Often ranked among the best airports in the world, Changi (WSSS) arrives with custom-built terminals, detailed interiors, and detailed PBR ground textures that should make taxiing on that A350 just a bit more satisfying.
Located on the eastern edge of Singapore, Changi is a major international hub and the gateway to Southeast Asia for dozens of airlines. It’s not just busy—it’s known for transforming the airport experience, with attractions like indoor gardens, art installations, and the famous Jewel complex. TaiModels’ scenery includes a detailed terminal interior featuring virtual renditions of some of the airport’s most iconic features.
According to the developer, the scenery includes:
- Hand made and detailed PBR ground markings and textures according to the most recent airport situation
- Detailed terminal interior
- Hand made, Realistic terminals, cargo buildings airport buildings using MSFS PBR materials
- Realistic airport lighting
- Taxiways, aprons
- Optimized for performance to be used on most types of systems
