To mark the opening of the 2025 Paris Air Show, AzurPoly has premiered the first official trailer for its upcoming Dassault Rafale add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The video, produced by Practically Geek, offers a cinematic first glimpse at the French multirole fighter as it takes shape in MSFS.
The trailer is being showcased directly at Dassault Aviation’s stand at Le Bourget, a high-profile debut that signals just how significant this project is, not just for AzurPoly, but for the broader MSFS community. After all, the Rafale is being developed under an official license from Dassault Aviation, a rare arrangement in the flight simulation space and one that lends credibility to the team’s goal of delivering an accurate representation.
The reveal trailer focuses primarily on the exterior model, which AzurPoly says is already “well advanced.” While the video doesn’t dive into cockpit views or systems just yet, it gives a clear sense of the aircraft’s silhouette, detailing, and dynamic presentation in-sim.
The visual tone leans cinematic, but grounded — with realistic lighting, atmospheric effects, and camera angles that highlight the Rafale’s sharp design. Check it out:
This version of the Rafale is still very much a work-in-progress. AzurPoly notes that “some visual or functional elements shown in the video may not reflect the final product.” No new details have been shared yet regarding the cockpit, systems, or avionics, though the developer previously stated that the Rafale C (single-seat variant) will be the initial release, with the potential for the B and M variants later.
