We’re continuing to report on announcements you might have missed from FSExpo last weekend, and this time, our focus turns towards SoFly. The developer used the stage last weekend to provide updates on three of its upcoming products for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including a short update on the previously announced Cabin Announcement Pro, the reveal of Bristol Airport, and the announcement of a new Aircraft Sound Enhancer tool.
Cabin Announcement Pro: revised roadmap and new features
SoFly shared a brief but important update on Cabin Announcement Pro, its upcoming add-on designed to bring dynamic passenger cabin audio to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The team confirmed that the product will be a one-time purchase with no subscription fees. A single license will cover both Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and the newer 2024 edition.
Additionally, SoFly plans to deliver a library of airline announcement packs over time, featuring a variety of regional accents and languages to create a more realistic in-cabin atmosphere. Each pack will include multiple variations to keep the experience dynamic.
A custom in-sim panel is also in development, intended to give users full control over announcements directly within the simulator.

Cabin Announcement Pro now has a revised release window, with SoFly targeting Q1 2026. CEO Calum Martin explained the delay, citing the volume of feedback and feature requests received after the initial announcement in 2024:
“When we announced the product in 2024, we hoped we could deliver on our targeted timeframe. We got a lot of feature requests and product ideas following the announcement and had to take it back to the drawing board in order to achieve those lofty goals. That said, we’re now making steady progress and can’t wait to share more news in the future.”
New Airport: Bristol
Building on the success of Hannover Airport, SoFly has announced Bristol Airport (EGGD) as its next airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The team aims to recreate Bristol with high attention to detail, including a fully modelled terminal, accurate ground markings, custom animations, and immersive night lighting. Audio elements designed to reflect the airport’s real-world ambience are also planned.
SoFly conducted on-site research and photography to ensure a faithful representation of the airport, which is known for its hillside location, scenic approaches, and diverse mix of commercial and general aviation traffic.
Bristol Airport is expected to release in Q3 2025. Early renders were shown during the presentation, with further previews to follow.
Aircraft Sound Enhancer announced
Finally, SoFly also announced Aircraft Sound Enhancer, another new tool designed to improve in-flight audio across all aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Developed in partnership with TerraBuilder, DarkOcean Designs, and Echo 19, Aircraft Sound Enhancer will feature over 500 authentic sound effects, including turbulence, wind, icing, water landings, ground rolls, and more.
Each sound effect will react dynamically to real in-sim conditions, with natural variation to avoid repetitive audio. A custom interface built by DarkOcean Designs will allow users to adjust individual sound elements and save profiles for different aircraft types.
Echo 19, known for its work on high-fidelity aircraft and cabin audio, is responsible for crafting the soundscape, while TerraBuilder has developed a WASM backend to enable advanced functionality, such as dynamic aircraft profile detection and profile sharing within the community.
Aircraft Sound Enhancer is planned for release this summer.
