Just Flight shares new development update on the Fokker F70/F100 for MSFS, explaining the delay and confirming beta testing

Back in August, Just Flight said its upcoming Fokker F70 and F100 Professional were entering the final stretch of development, with the “last written update” marking a transition toward pre-release videos and content creator previews. Those videos never materialized… until now, there’s been silence.

This week, the developer broke that silence with a detailed statement explaining what’s been happening behind the scenes and why the aircraft still haven’t been released.

In the update published on November 6, Martyn from Just Flight’s team acknowledged the growing anticipation and speculation, saying that while the Fokkers appeared feature-complete earlier this year, development has continued intensely throughout 2025.

Whilst that might give the impression that development has stalled, that is far from the case,” Martyn wrote. “I wanted to clarify the situation in greater detail.”

Fully functional and in beta testing

According to Just Flight, both the F70 and F100 are now fully functional in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, with beta testing ongoing for several months. The complete sound package has just been integrated, described as the final major addition before release.

The team is now concentrating on the automatic flight system and FMS (the two most complex parts of the aircraft) fine-tuning the NAV (LNAV) and PROF (VNAV) autopilot modes to ensure they work correctly with the autothrottle and FMS. These interconnected systems, Martyn says, are “essential for the realistic operation of the aircraft” and the reason the developers are not yet ready to confirm a release date.

“A huge learning curve”

The statement also reflects on how the Fokker series has been the team’s most challenging project so far. Building on experience from the BAe 146, F28, and RJ Professional, the developers describe the F70/F100 as a significant leap in complexity due to their highly integrated avionics, comparable to those found in modern Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

Martyn confirmed that work on the automatic flight system and FMS continues to make “great progress each week,” with each internal build moving the project closer to release. Preview videos are now being prepared and should be released soon to showcase the aircraft’s extensive feature set.

Meanwhile, Just Flight’s other development efforts have been equally demanding. The team has spent much of 2025 updating all ten of its existing MSFS aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, a process wrapping up with the upcoming 146 Professional v2.4 update later this month. The developer also notes that the A300B4 airliner is advancing steadily, with cockpit and cabin modeling complete and systems coding in its final stages.

“It’ll be worth the wait”

Martyn closed the update with an apology for the long silence but assured fans that the Fokker releases are close.

“We’ve got no doubt that these will be our best airliners yet and we can’t wait to bring you the upcoming preview videos.”

It’s not quite time for a release announcement yet, but it finally sounds like the F70 and F100 Professional are getting ready for a release!
