FlightFX is honoring its promise of a free upgrade for existing owners of the MSFS 2020 version. However, the developer has issued a few specific instructions to ensure a smooth transition.
For those using the Microsoft Marketplace, the upgrade is tied to your Gamertag. The developer says that if you owned the original, the 2024 version should appear as a free download, provided you are logged into the same account.
For those who haven’t purchased the HJet yet, FlightFX suggests buying it on your preferred platform first, noting that it may take a few days for the “cross-buy” entitlement to sync between the 2020 and 2024 editions.
What’s new: A comprehensive overhaul
The developer says the aircraft has been fundamentally reworked to utilize the 2024 engine, from a rebuilt flight model that interacts with new surface physics to a complete avionics migration to the Working Title V2 framework. This release also brings the aircraft into the new simulator’s ecosystem with native support for Private Charter missions in Career Mode and interactive walk-around features.
