The transition from an experimental feature to a core system component is always a milestone for any platform. This week, SayIntentions.AI officially moved its Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) out of the “Partner Program” preview and into the hands of its entire subscriber base.
This feature, first introduced back in December, bakes high-end safety logic directly into the environment, marking another push from the platform as it continues to move away from being a “voice-only” ATC add-on and toward becoming a central “cockpit brain” that replaces several standalone utilities.
A safety net for every airframe
The developer says that RAAS is now active by default, providing automated voice alerts during the most critical phases of ground and approach operations. Historically, having a functional RAAS meant either flying a high-fidelity airliner or purchasing dedicated third-party software. By integrating this logic at the platform level, SayIntentions is effectively adding high-end safety tech to every aircraft in a user’s hangar, from a basic Cessna to a complex long-haul jet.
The system is made to provide specific, dynamic alerts rather than just static sound triggers. During taxi, it notifies the pilot when approaching a runway. Once lined up, it confirms the runway identifier and the remaining distance. On the final approach, it serves as a final sanity check, confirming the landing runway and providing a “caution, caution” warning if the aircraft is aligned with the wrong surface.
Customization via the Pilot Portal
While the system is active from the moment you log in, the developer has acknowledged that not every pilot wants a talkative cockpit. A new customization panel has been added to the Pilot Portal under the Settings → RAAS menu.

This allows users to toggle individual alerts. If you prefer the “Wrong Runway” protection but don’t need “Taxiway Takeoff Warning” callouts (are you sure?…), you can silence specific parts of the system to match your personal preference or the standard operating procedures of a specific airline.
One app to rule the cockpit?
The global release of RAAS highlights the rapid expansion of the SayIntentions ecosystem. Over the last few months, the developer has added so many capabilities that the platform is becoming perhaps the most all-encompassing software suite available to run alongside Microsoft Flight Simulator.
This “all-in-one” approach is a clear attempt to justify the $18.95 monthly subscription by reducing the need for other paid add-ons. By bundling ATC, cabin crew, traffic, and now safety systems into a single subscription, the developer is betting that pilots will prefer the convenience of a unified environment over a collection of fragmented, separate tools.
