Three down, one to go. PMDG has just released the High Detail Update for the 737-900, making it the third of four NG variants to receive the comprehensive visual overhaul that debuted with the 737-700 on April 9th. The 737-800 is the last one remaining.
Like the 737-600 and 737-700 before it, the 737-900 update is a full model rework. PMDG says the update brings a significant jump in both large-scale and fine-scale detail across the aircraft, covering operating access panels, improved ground equipment, vastly improved gear bays, better lighting, and improved textures throughout.

Because the model changes are so deep, PMDG has also updated all 737-900 liveries available through the Operations Center, so their resolution and detail matches the new model. If you have liveries installed, expect a batch of updates to come through. A paint kit for third-party livery artists will also be made available later today, following the same pattern as the previous variants.
PMDG says the 737-800 is next and will be the final variant to complete the NG fleet refresh.
If you own the 737-900, the update is available now via the PMDG Operations Center. If you’re looking to pick it up, it’s available at pmdg.com for $49.99.
