If you’ve ever tried to get AIG up and running and bounced off the One-Click Installer setup process, this one’s for you. Alpha India Group has released the OCI Basepack, a single ZIP file containing a ready-to-go global traffic package that has been, by their own admission, the most requested feature in OCI for a long time.
AIG says the delay came down to securing all the required permissions from the various parties involved, plus updates to the software itself. It took a while, but here it is.
The basepack ships with 130+ airlines and 150+ SimObjects, which is enough to give you genuinely populated airports around the world from day one. It won’t contain everything that AI Manager can install through OCI, but AIG frames it clearly as a starting point for new users rather than a replacement for a full custom installation. Once it’s in, you can extend it through AI Manager with any additional airlines not included in the pack.
For existing OCI users, the short answer is: you don’t need this. Your current installation is already more complete, and AIG recommends continuing to use the built-in AIM updater to keep flightplans current. The basepack is aimed squarely at people starting from scratch.
One detail worth noting for those coming from other tools: the basepack outputs standard AIGFP files, so it works with the default MSFS live traffic system, AIG Traffic Controller, or any third-party traffic injector that can read that format. VATSIM and PSXT users can also make use of the content.
AIG has also confirmed the basepack will be updated once or twice a year, roughly aligned with season changes, though the recommendation is always to keep existing installations updated through AIM rather than re-downloading the full pack each time.
We covered the OCI Basepack when AIG first announced it as part of their 2026 roadmap a few days ago, alongside other planned features like AIGFleet. Seeing it ship so quickly is good news for anyone who’s been putting off setting up AI traffic because the barrier to entry felt too high.
To get started, download AI Manager first from alpha-india.net and follow the tutorial PDF included inside the ZIP.
