SayIntentions.ai announces TourTuner, a new feature for custom virtual tours in Microsoft Flight Simulator

SayIntentions.Ai continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in this new generation of ATC software for flight simulation. Following a series of cool updates, the latest one, TourTuner, enables simmers to create and share custom tours within Microsoft Flight Simulator.

TourTuner was introduced this week and is launching this next Monday, July 15th, for all users of SayIntentions.Ai. It’s designed for both VFR and IFR flying and enables users to create detailed and interactive tours that can be enjoyed by other simmers.

TourTuner feature supports various tour types:

Low Altitude VFR Tours: Perfect for scenic flights and exploring landmarks from a lower altitude. Think about flying over the Grand Canyon, circling around the Statue of Liberty, or cruising along the beaches of Hawaii. These tours are ideal for highlighting specific points of interest, such as bridges, statues, rock formations, and other notable landmarks, providing a rich visual and educational experience.

High Altitude IFR Tours: These tours are more suited for longer flights and focus on broader geographical features like mountain ranges, rivers, and cities. For example, on a flight from Denver to Atlanta, the tour might point out the Rocky Mountains, major rivers, and key urban centers along the way.

Brian Shellabarger, CEO of SayIntentions.ai, detailed how TourTuner works in a recent video presentation. He explained that simmers can start a tour mid-flight by asking the AI if there are any available tours nearby. The AI, utilizing its comprehensive database and intelligent algorithms, will suggest relevant tours and guide the pilot through each waypoint, providing detailed commentary and interesting facts along the way.

Creating and sharing tours

Creating a tour with TourTuner is straightforward and user-friendly:

  1. Accessing TourTuner: Users can log into the pilot portal and find the TourTuner button on the left-hand side.
  2. Marking Points of Interest: On a map, users can mark points of interest and add descriptions. These descriptions act as prompts for the AI, ensuring it highlights the specified details during the tour.
  3. Dynamic Interaction: The AI dynamically generates unique commentary for each tour, ensuring that even repeat flights offer new insights and perspectives.

Shellabarger emphasized the crowdsourcing aspect of TourTuner, encouraging users to share their custom tours with the community. This collaborative approach is expected to create a rich repository of tours, covering various regions and points of interest worldwide, which can then be recalled as simmers request tours during their flights with SayIntentions.Ai.

Autocreate tours

Another cool capability of TourTuner is that it can actually automatically create a tour! If you’d like a more automated approach to tour building, you can simply fill out a simple form describing the tour you envision, and the AI will generate a comprehensive tour based on these parameters.

For example, a user can create a tour covering the French Riviera, specifying waypoints and interesting facts, and the AI would handle the rest, creating a detailed and engaging tour that can be fined-tuned by the user at the end.

Availability

The official launch of TourTuner is set for Monday, but the feature is ready for immediate testing.
