SoFly releases Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport (LWOH), North Macedonia’s second busiest airport, is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. SoFly, in collaboration with Sky High Studios, promises an add-on rich in detail and realism in what is described as the most immersive and intricately detailed version of this airport yet.

Leveraging the lessons learned from previous projects like Cardiff Airport (EGFF), the developers have applied the same craftsmanship, aiming to create an environment that captures the unique atmosphere of this regional hub.

The add-on features custom-crafted textures, animated hangars that respond to the time of day, and dynamic elements such as moving airport doors and car park barriers that react to player proximity.

An airport in the heart of North Macedonia

Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport is located amidst North Macedonia’s natural beauty, with the Galičica Mountain range and Lake Ohrid providing a scenic backdrop. The virtual approach to the airport will allow simmers to overfly the charming villages of Peštani and Trpejca, showcasing the region’s scenic and cultural landmarks.

With real-world airlines like Wizz Air, TUI, and LOT Polish Airlines regularly serving the airport, simmers will have plenty of route options to simulate flights to and from Ohrid. The scenery will include detailed depictions of airport facilities, ensuring a realistic simulation for both short-haul and regional flights.

SoFly has confirmed that a free update is planned to ensure compatibility with the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This upgrade will allow simmers to seamlessly transition the add-on to the new platform without any additional costs.

Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport is available now from SoFly, Contrail, and simMarket, and is expected to be available soon in the MSFS Marketplace.
