SayIntentions.AI had a major presence this year at FSWeekend 2025, not only being the main sponsor of the event but also with the announcement of three major developments aimed at enhancing AI-driven traffic, ATC, and multiplayer experiences in Microsoft Flight Simulator and beyond.
During the presentation, Brian Shellabarger, CEO of SayIntentions.AI, introduced AI Living World, OpenSky, and SkyNet, highlighting the company’s focus on realism and immersion for flight simulation enthusiasts.
AI Living World: A New Approach to Traffic Injection
One of the key announcements was AI Living World, a sophisticated traffic injection and sequencing system that moves beyond traditional AI-generated traffic. Unlike conventional AI systems, where aircraft follow scripted paths, AI Living World injects individual AI entities, each with its own pilot behavior and decision-making process.
Brian Shellabarger described the system as creating a simulation where “every airplane you see, whether on approach, taxiing, or at the gate, is an independent AI entity.” The goal is to eliminate the static, predictable AI behavior that has defined previous traffic simulation methods. Aircraft operate based on real-world schedules and gates, with departures and arrivals reflecting real airline operations. Furthermore, AI Living World adapts to live weather, ensuring traffic flows follow current conditions.

A standout feature is the implementation of over 1,500 AI pilot voices, many of which have been contributed by the community. These voices, enhanced by AI technology, are assigned to aircraft based on their airlines, meaning that Lufthansa pilots will have German accents, British Airways pilots will sound British, and so on.
SayIntentions.AI plans to launch AI Living World for those on the Partner Program on April 15, 2025, with wider availability at a later date.
OpenSky: a Free AI-Powered ATC Service
The second major announcement was an expansion of OpenSky, SayIntentions.AI’s free cloud-based AI ATC service. OpenSky was previously available in a limited private beta, but the FSWeekend announcement confirmed a significant expansion of its user base through an invite-only system.
Unlike traditional ATC systems that rely on local processing, OpenSky runs entirely on SayIntentions.AI’s servers, promising zero CPU or GPU impact for users.

OpenSky offers:
- IFR, gate-to-gate, voice-controlled ATC
- Full integration with MSFS 2024’s EFB and VR setups
- Premium neural AI voices and immersive radio chatter
- Authentic phraseology and integration with SimBrief and Navigraph
Previously, only a handful of users had access to OpenSky’s beta. As of FSWeekend, SayIntentions.AI has expanded beta access, implementing an invite-based rollout. Current beta users can now invite others, gradually increasing accessibility while maintaining server stability.
SkyNet: SayIntentions’ Multiplayer Network expands
The third announcement was an expansion of SkyNet, SayIntentions.AI’s cross-platform multiplayer network designed to replace existing flight simulation multiplayer systems.
Previously available only to SayIntentions Premium users, SkyNet is now open to all SayIntentions customers, including OpenSky subscribers, with a planned free public release in early summer 2025.

SkyNet enables:
- Seamless real-time multiplayer functionality for MSFS 2020 and 2024
- AI-driven model matching for accurate aircraft representation
- Private group creation for controlled multiplayer sessions
- Automated behavior detection, removing disruptive players until they normalize
A particularly exciting future update will introduce full ATC sequencing between live pilots, simulating real-world air traffic control interactions. This feature is expected to further enhance realism in multiplayer flights.
With AI Living World redefining traffic systems, OpenSky expanding access to AI-powered ATC, and SkyNet broadening multiplayer functionality, SayIntentions.AI continues to push forward in its mission to be an all-encompassing AI-powered ecosystem that is now well extending beyond simply being an ATC add-on. SayIntentions.AI is available in two formats: the full Premium service with ATC for $16.25/month (annual plan) or Entourage, a one-time purchase without ATC but with AI Cabin Crews, Tour Guides and Mentors, for $49.95.
