Seafront Simulations has recently released another one of their maritime sceneries for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, the developer has gone to the Greek Islands to populate the virtual scenery in MSFS with boats, in what is one of the most picturesque regions in the world. If you’ve been waiting for an add-on to enhance your island-hopping adventures across Greece, this might be just what you’re looking for!
Vessels: The Greek Islands introduces over 10,000 static boats and more than 3,000 animated vessels, including leisure yachts, catamarans, powerboats, cruise ships, tankers, and cargo ships. The add-on covers the entirety of the Greek Islands, as well as key shipping channels between them, ensuring that no matter where you fly, you’ll be greeted by a lively maritime environment.
Beyond just adding ships to the water, Seafront Simulations has also modeled over 900 individual bays, coves, marinas, and harbors. Whether you’re flying low over Santorini, departing from Corfu, or coming in for a sunset landing at Mykonos, you’ll see a more realistic and dynamic seascape below.
Here are some key features of this latest release from Seafront Simulations:
- High-quality PBR models
- Smoke and wake VFX
- Night and navigation lighting
- Water, terrain, and vegetation fixes
For simmers who enjoy scenic flights, Vessels: The Greek Islands promises to be an excellent companion to MSFS’s diverse selection of Greek airports. With thousands of boats spread across the region, the scenery enhances both sightseeing and low-level VFR flying, offering a richer experience in the Greek archipelago.
Vessels: The Greek Islands is available for around 15€. To use this add-on, you’ll need to install the free Vessels Core library, which is automatically handled through the Contrail App.
