EuroFly Twinfox coming soon to MSFS with aircraft, scenery, and missions

If you enjoy flying the lighter side of aviation in Microsoft Flight Simulator, there’s a new project on final approach that might grab your attention. Developer erasam, in collaboration with publisher OBY1, is preparing to release the EuroFly Twinfox & Homefield Scenery Bundle — a package that combines an ultralight aircraft and its real-world base of operations in northern Italy.

At the center of it all is the EuroFly Twinfox, a tandem two-seater ultralight designed by Italian manufacturer EuroFly. It’s a compact machine, but one that’s been modeled with surprising depth for MSFS. Every pipe, bolt, and cable from the real aircraft has been recreated, with input and testing from both the manufacturer and real Twinfox pilots. Even the quirks, like its unusual brake lever on the yoke, have been brought into the sim.

The aircraft will ship with a variety of liveries (including an Italian flag scheme and even a camouflage option), a glass cockpit or traditional analog panel, and a full interactive checklist designed alongside real pilots. There’s also support for VR, STOL performance for off-field adventures, and a paintkit for those who want to create custom schemes.

Alongside the Twinfox comes its home base: EuroFly’s airfield near Tezze sul Brenta in the Veneto region. The scenery has been handcrafted with custom hangars, static aircraft, and objects that reflect daily operations at the factory and flight school. For VFR pilots, it should serve as a very personal launch point for exploring the Brenta River valley and beyond.

But the project doesn’t stop there. Publisher OBY1 is working on a series of activity packs built around the Twinfox and its homefield. These will be released separately and include discovery flights, training missions, and bush trips — with the first expected to arrive at launch and additional ones planned every couple of months. The idea is a rolling expansion of content that will keep the aircraft supported beyond its initial launch.

The bundle is planned for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, with Marketplace releases on PC and Xbox targeted for the end of September. Pricing should come in at under $20 USD, while the activity packs will be sold separately.

This is one of those projects where the size of the airplane doesn’t tell the whole story. The Twinfox isn’t a complex airliner or a business jet, but because it’s being built with direct involvement from the real manufacturer, it should carry an interesting level of authenticity.

For pilots who enjoy short hops, open-air flying, or simply the novelty of trying something different, this is a release worth keeping an eye on.
