Orbx has announced the release of ENRM Rørvik Ryum Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, developed by Togstad Simulation. This regional Norwegian airport is now available exclusively through Orbx Direct and comes fully compatible with both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
For those unfamiliar with it, Rørvik is a small town tucked away in Norway’s Nordland region. It’s not the kind of place that usually makes headlines, but it does hold significance for the surrounding coastal communities, especially with its strong ties to the fishing industry. Rørvik Ryum Airport has been in operation since the late 1960s and remains a vital connection point for locals and businesses alike.
Togstad Simulation has built ENRM with a focus on accuracy and detail. The layout follows current AIP charts, and the airport features fully modelled buildings (some with interiors) plus PBR textures throughout. There’s custom runway and taxiway lighting, an animated anemometer, and even the nearby Nærøysund Bridge, which locals will recognize as a landmark and which sim pilots can use as a handy VFR reference.
Here’s a quick overview of the included features:
- Layout aligned with official AIP charts
- Detailed 3D buildings with interiors and PBR textures
- Realistic runway and taxiway lighting
- Animated anemometer
- Nærøysund Bridge as a VFR landmark
- Optimized performance across systems
Regional airports like Rørvik don’t always get the spotlight, but they bring a lot of value to the simulator. They allow simmers to explore parts of the world that aren’t usually the focus of add-on scenery, and in this case, it opens up a new stop along Norway’s rugged and picturesque coastline. Combined with Norway’s demanding weather and short regional hops, ENRM could become a great addition for those who enjoy challenging approaches and immersive cross-country flights!
ENRM Rørvik Ryum Airport is available now, exclusively through Orbx Direct and priced at just around €11.00.
