REX is building a creator program around Atmos, and applications are closing soon

If you’ve ever scrolled through a flight sim Discord, stopped on a jaw-dropping sky screenshot, and wondered “what preset is that?”, REX Simulations is building a program specifically to answer that question.

The developer has launched the REX Preset Developer Program, a community initiative aimed at creators who use REX Atmos or REX Atmos CORE to produce custom visual presets and cinematic environments in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Applications are now open, though REX says spots are closing soon.

The idea behind the program is simple: REX says some of the best Atmos visuals out there are already coming from within the community, and they want to give those creators a proper home. Selected applicants will receive a personalized developer space inside the official REX Discord, where they can share presets, assets, screenshots, and techniques, as well as connect with other creators and the wider community.

According to REX, the program is open to anyone who creates “unique Atmos or Atmos CORE visuals, presets, cinematic environments, or ReShade combinations” inside MSFS. It’s not just for the technically minded either. If you’re someone who has spent hours dialling in the perfect golden hour look or a moody overcast preset for flying the North Atlantic, this sounds like it’s aimed at you.

It’s worth remembering that one of the core features REX built into Atmos from day one was the ability to save and share custom presets through a built-in cloud system. The Preset Developer Program feels like a natural extension of that idea, giving the most active community creators a proper platform rather than leaving preset sharing scattered all over.

REX says this initiative is as part of the “next evolution” of the REX ecosystem.

If you want to apply, the link to the official form is below. REX hasn’t stated a hard deadline, but the messaging is clear that places are limited.
